Questions & answers
Yes, and that is the point. Unlacquered brass is a living finish. It is never sealed, so it reacts to air, water and the touch of daily life, slowly softening from bright gold to warmer, deeper tones. No two kitchens age the same way. Copper does the same, moving toward richer browns and, in humid or outdoor settings, sometimes green.
Gently. Wipe with a soft cloth, warm water and a drop of mild dish soap, then dry to prevent water spots. Avoid bleach, ammonia and abrasive cleaners. You do not need a special kit.
Yes. Polish gently with a quality brass polish, or a paste of lemon juice and baking soda, then rinse and dry. Polishing resets the surface, and the patina returns naturally over time. To slow the aging, add a thin coat of carnauba wax or mineral oil.
Each fixture is finished by hand, so small variations in tone are natural and intentional. Pieces in the same finish sit together beautifully, but they are never machine-identical. That is what separates handcrafted metal from the mass-produced kind.
Yes. Every Brassdoria fixture is solid brass or solid copper all the way through, never a thin plating over a cheaper metal. Plating can chip, flake and peel. Solid metal ages gracefully and can last for generations.
We design them in Astoria, New York. Each piece is handcrafted by artisans in Marrakech, Morocco, using casting, hammering and finishing techniques passed down through generations.
Our faucets install like any premium fixture, using standard connections. Every product page lists the hole configuration and measurements, so you can check them against your sink or counter. We recommend installation by a licensed plumber.
Shipping is free and express to the United States and Canada, fully tracked, on every order. We email your tracking details as soon as your piece ships. Made-to-order pieces can take longer, and we confirm timing with you before you commit.
We offer 30-day returns. If a piece is not right for your space, contact us within 30 days of delivery at support@brassdoria.com and we will guide you through the return. Items should be unused and in their original packaging.
Yes. Every Brassdoria fixture is covered by a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects, starting on the delivery date. If a defect appears, we repair or replace the piece.
The warranty does not cover natural patina or color change, damage from improper installation, harsh or abrasive cleaners, accidents or misuse. To make a claim, email support@brassdoria.com with your order number and photos.
