Because we leave it unlacquered, the surface is a genuine, living finish: it will naturally develop a soft patina over time as it's exposed to water, air, and use, giving each piece a warm, one-of-a-kind character that plated or lacquered fixtures can't replicate. This is the same finish prized in high-end architectural and hospitality projects for its durability and the way it ages — solid brass doesn't chip, flake, or wear through like a coating can.

If you prefer to keep the finish bright and golden longer, simply wipe it dry after use and polish occasionally with a soft brass polish. If you love the patina look, just let it age naturally — no maintenance required.
