Yes — every Brassdoria faucet and shower fixture is solid brass, not brass-plated or coated. Because we leave it unlacquered, the surface is a genuine, living finish: it will naturally develop a soft patina over time as it's exposed to water, air, and use, giving each piece a warm, one-of-a-kind character that plated or lacquered fixtures can't replicate. This is the same finish prized in high-end architectural and hospitality projects for its durability and the way it ages — solid brass doesn't chip, flake, or wear through like a coating can.
If you prefer to keep the finish bright and golden longer, simply wipe it dry after use and polish occasionally with a soft brass polish. If you love the patina look, just let it age naturally — no maintenance required.
Yes — and that’s part of its beauty.
Our fixtures feature an unlacquered brass finish that naturally develops a warm patina as it interacts with water, air, and everyday use. This living finish adds character and depth, making every piece uniquely yours.
If preferred, the brass can also be gently polished to restore its original shine.
Absolutely.

Using this as a grab bar inside our tiled shower stall. It feels incredibly safe and doesn't budge. Looks awesome too
Stunning piece. It has a nice weight to it and the installation was super simple. Love the unlacquered look.
very happy with this purchase. solid construction, beautiful rich golden tone, and holds full size towels with ease.
Holds two small hand towels easily side by side. The brass color is beautiful and warm. Highly recommend.
Exactly as described. Love how it looks against the light cabinets. Fast shipping too.
Just opened the box and this thing is HEAVY. Genuine raw brass, no cheap plastic coating. Can't wait to mount it tomorrow
So beautiful! Looks like an expensive designer piece. Holds our kitchen hand towel perfectly and doesn't wiggle at all
Love the raw brass vibe. It’s exactly what I wanted for our kitchen towels. Feels very solid when you grab it
Bought this to hang a hand towel right next to our laundry sink. Honestly the solid brass matches our unlacquered faucet so well. Super sturdy and took me like 5 mins to screw in
The streamlined shape is very comfortable in the hand when used as a bathroom grab bar. Flawless unlacquered metal finish that is already aging into a beautiful natural patina
I'm very impressed by the heavy casting weight on the mounting brackets of this rail. Often these decorative bars are flimsy, but this one is genuine solid brass through and through with strong screw holes. It functions beautifully either as a heavy-duty grab bar or a premium towel holder
